📝 gxceed 編集解説 — Why this matters
In the global GX context
This volume serves as an accessible primer for global audiences seeking technical literacy in renewable energy systems. While it does not address specific GX frameworks like TCFD or ISSB, it provides essential context for understanding the physical infrastructure behind the energy transition—relevant for professionals entering the field from non-engineering backgrounds.
👥 読者別の含意
🔬研究者:A concise reference for foundational renewable energy concepts, useful for interdisciplinary researchers new to the technical aspects.
🏢実務担当者:May serve as training material for corporate sustainability teams needing basic technical understanding of renewable technologies.
📄 Abstract(原文)
This book establishes a foundational conceptual and technical framework for understanding renewable energy systems within the context of the global energy transition. It examines the historical role of energy in the development of human civilization and analyzes the structural shift from fossil-based systems toward decentralized, renewable energy infrastructures as a systemic transformation rather than a technological substitution. The work introduces the essential terminology, physical principles, and measurement frameworks required for technical comprehension, including distinctions between power and energy, thermodynamic efficiency, and resource-specific energy densities across solar, wind, hydro, geothermal, and bioenergy systems. The book develops a systems-based perspective of energy, emphasizing the integration of multiple sources within hybrid energy matrices, the role of smart grids, energy storage, and the emergence of prosumer-based infrastructures. Designed as a foundational volume, this work transforms environmental awareness into technical competence, enabling the reader to interpret energy systems through measurable, data-driven criteria. This publication is part of the Renewable Horizons collection (2021–2026), a series dedicated to renewable energy systems, environmental integration strategies, and distributed infrastructures. Developed within PRMS Architecture Lab, this work contributes to an ongoing research agenda focused on performance-based architectural and territorial systems, where energy systems are analyzed and integrated as measurable flows within the built environment.
