📄 Abstract(原文)
Abstract Flooded forest ecosystems surrounding the Tonlé Sap Lake in Cambodia represent one of Southeast Asia’s most important wetland forest systems. These ecosystems provide multiple ecological functions including biodiversity conservation, nutrient cycling, and climate regulation. In particular, flooded forests play a significant role in climate change mitigation through carbon sequestration, biomass accumulation, and regulation of greenhouse gas fluxes. However, rapid environmental changes such as deforestation, hydrological alteration, and climate variability threaten their capacity to function as carbon sinks. This review synthesizes existing scientific literature on the role of Tonlé Sap flooded forests in climate change mitigation, focusing on carbon storage, ecosystem functions, and environmental drivers affecting carbon dynamics. The review also highlights conservation strategies necessary to maintain the climate mitigation potential of this unique ecosystem. Keywords: Tonlé Sap Lake; Flooded forests; Carbon sequestration; Climate change mitigation; Wetland ecosystems; Carbon storage; Cambodia.
