📝 gxceed 編集解説 — Why this matters

In the global GX context

This dataset contributes to global efforts in embodied carbon assessment for interiors, relevant to Scope 3 emissions and circular economy. Its multi-criteria model (MCDA) integrates EPD, circularity, and cost, offering a methodology that can be adapted for TCFD/ISSB-aligned disclosure and green building certifications worldwide.

👥 読者別の含意

🔬研究者:The dataset provides a reproducible methodology for integrating LCA, circularity, and MCDA in material selection, useful for further comparative studies.

🏢実務担当者:Interior designers and sustainability teams can use the MCDA framework for preliminary screening of low-carbon finishing materials, but should verify EPD data with official sources.

🏛政策担当者:The model demonstrates a practical approach to incentivizing low-carbon materials, potentially informing green building regulations or procurement guidelines.

📄 Abstract(原文)

This dataset supports the article “Ecological Materiality of Interior as a Design-Choice Problem: A Model for Selecting Natural and Low-Carbon Finishing Materials Based on EPD/LCA and Circular Design Scenarios”.The uploaded Excel workbook contains an exploratory research corpus for evaluating natural and low-carbon finishing materials in interior design. It includes 45 finishing materials, 12 interior assembly nodes and 9 project-application records across three cases: an apartment, a coworking space and an eco-café.The workbook is structured into ten thematic sheets: basic material catalogue; EPD/LCA data; local life-cycle scenarios; interior assembly nodes; circularity; artistic and tactile assessment; operation and health; real projects; cost and market; and decision-making.<br>The dataset includes variables on material composition, thickness, mass per square metre, service life, installation method, disassembly potential, reuse potential, recycling potential, availability, EPD-style indicators, GWP by life-cycle modules A1–A3, A4–A5, B, C and D, transport assumptions, circularity criteria, perceptual and aesthetic scores, VOC and formaldehyde indicators, life-cycle cost for 10 years, supply-risk indicators and weighted MCDA scores. The dataset is intended for testing a multi-criteria model that treats ecological materiality not as an isolated property of a material, but as a relationship between material, assembly node, life-cycle scenario, aesthetic retention, indoor environmental quality and cost.Important methodological note: the EPD-related fields are used as author-generated exploratory research data. Original EPD documents, product category rules and verification protocols are not included in this item. Therefore, the dataset should not be interpreted as an official EPD registry or as certification of individual materials. The data are intended for methodological analysis, reproducibility of the article’s calculations and further comparative research. The workbook content is primarily in Russian; metadata are provided in English to improve international discoverability.File: Bikkinyaeva_Dataset_Ecological_Materiality_Int.xlsx.Reserved DOI: 10.6084/m9.figshare.32542050.
