日本のGX文脈において
日本ではN₂O排出量算定は限定的だが、中国の高精度データは国際的な排出削減交渉や、日本企業のサプライチェーン排出把握(Scope 3)に活用できる可能性がある。
In the global GX context
While focused on China, this high-resolution inventory demonstrates methods for reducing uncertainty in national GHG accounting, relevant for improving national inventories under the Paris Agreement and informing global climate policy.

📄 Abstract(原文)
Nitrous oxide (N2O), a potent greenhouse gas with a global warming potential 273 times greater than CO2, has risen steadily in atmospheric concentration, posing a growing threat to climate targets under the Paris Agreement. China, as the world’s largest emitter of anthropogenic N₂O, plays a pivotal role in global mitigation efforts. However, existing N2O inventories remain fragmented—limited in scope, spatial resolution, and timeliness—due to reliance on coarse, aggregated data and inconsistent accounting boundaries. Here, we present a source-based, full-scale, and monthly N2O emission inventory for China from 2010 to 2024, building on the China High Resolution Emission Database (CHRED 3.0). This inventory integrates source-level data from over 1.5 million industrial facilities, spanning major emission sources including energy use, industrial production, agriculture, and waste. Our approach ensures methodological consistency and captures monthly, city-level dynamics of N2O emissions. Compared with existing estimates, our data substantially reduces uncertainty and enables a more precise understanding of China’s spatiotemporal emission patterns. This comprehensive dataset offers critical insights for designing targeted mitigation strategies and for achieving the nationally determined contributions goals as well as global climate goals.
