📄 Abstract(原文)

This community service activity aims to improve students' understanding of tidal flood (rob) mitigation as an impact of climate change in the coastal area of Mepanga District. The program was conducted at SMP Negeri 1 Mepanga using an educational and participatory approach through lectures, interactive discussions, and simple mitigation simulations. The materials covered climate change concepts, causes of sea-level rise, tidal flood processes, impacts, and mitigation strategies. The effectiveness of the activity was measured using pretest and posttest instruments. The results showed a significant increase in students' understanding, with the mean score increasing from 5.2 to 8.1 and an N-Gain value of 0.60 (moderate category). Statistical analysis using a paired t-test indicated a significant difference (p < 0.05) between pretest and posttest results. These findings suggest that contextual-based education effectively enhances students' awareness and preparedness toward coastal disaster mitigation.
