📄 Abstract(原文)

The twenty-first century has witnessed a remarkable convergence of finance, technology, and sustainability. As banks worldwide embrace digital transformation, the need for environmentally responsible practices has become increasingly urgent. Green and paperless banking has emerged as a crucial tool for striking a balance between financial innovation and ecological sustainability. By eliminating excessive paper usage, reducing energy consumption, and adopting digital platforms such as mobile banking, internet banking, and electronic payment systems, banks are not only improving operational efficiency but also contributing to climate change mitigation. This paper conceptually explores the significance of green and paperless banking in strengthening sustainable and resilient financial services. Drawing from global and Indian literature, it highlights how paperless initiatives enhance financial inclusion, promote ecological advancement, and contribute to resilience in times of crisis such as the COVID-19 pandemic. The paper also discusses challenges including the digital divide, cybersecurity risks, and customer awareness gaps. It concludes with policy recommendations for regulators, banks, and consumers to accelerate the transition toward sustainable and future-ready finance.
