Version 2.0.0 is complete in itself — every file from v1.0.0 is present, unchanged or superseded. You do not need to download v1 as well. What changed. (1) Census coverage completed to 204/204 port-months. Four months (2020-07, 2020-08, 2023-03, 2023-04) were absent from v1 because of a source-retrieval failure; the 123 NOAA source days were re-acquired and re-processed through the identical pipeline, geometry and mode schema. 17-year LA/LB anchorage totals rise about 2% (CO2 2.82 -> 2.88 Mt; NOx 56,400 -> 57,564 t; PM2.5 1,505 -> 1,535 t; congested ship-days 76,966 -> 78,618). All 2021 values are unchanged, so the headline 3.3x activity ratio and social-cost figures are unaffected. (2) GSCPI month alignment corrected. In v1 the gscpi column of analysis_dataset_dwell.csv was labelled one month late (the NY Fed workbook is month-end dated and had been normalised with an offset that rolls forward), so the panel satisfied gscpi[t] = GSCPI_true[t-1] for all 297 months. Correcting this strengthens the published relationship (dwell-GSCPI r 0.45 -> 0.51). Users who ran analyses on the v1 panel should re-run them against this file. No other column changed. Superseded files: port_pings.zip (128 -> 132 partitions), monthly_mode_time_2015_2025.csv, analysis_dataset_dwell.csv, emissions_carb_calibrated_LA.csv, README.md. The other eight files are byte-identical to v1.0.0. Daily-census, vessel-level record of cargo/tanker dwell time at five US port complexes (Los Angeles/Long Beach, New York/New Jersey, Houston, Savannah, Seattle), 2009-2025, from terrestrial AIS (209.5M in-port position reports). Three products: (i) monthly per-port dwell metrics (1,016 port-months); (ii) per-vessel operational-mode hours - anchor/berth/manoeuvre/transit via NOAA charted anchorage areas (268,103 vessel-months); (iii) a CARB-calibrated idling-emissions layer (CO2/NOx/PM2.5) for LA/Long Beach. Internally validated against a verified 2022 benchmark; externally corroborated vs the NY Fed GSCPI and CARB; era-seam and emission cross-checks documented. Companion papers: Communications Earth & Environment (analysis) and Scientific Data (descriptor). Report emissions as relative change; absolute CO2 intensity is method-dependent (band 24-69 t/ship-day).
