This paper develops a behaviour-resolved techno-economic optimisation framework to analyse energy equity in rural heating decarbonisation. By integrating household behaviour, it evaluates both economic feasibility and social acceptance of heating technologies, proposing equitable transition pathways. The study informs policy design to mitigate impacts on low-income households.
