English

Reproducibility package for a study reconciling well-to-wake emissions of 12 SAF-operated flights across five calculator configurations (Travel Impact Model, ICAO, DEFRA with/without RFI, ATP-DEC). It quantifies how flight-level vs. carrier-year SAF attribution changes Scope 3 aviation figures, highlighting calculator inconsistency and SAF allocation transparency as key corporate reporting challenges.

📝 gxceed 編集解説 — Why this matters

In the global GX context

Directly relevant to ISSB/CSRD Scope 3 aviation accounting and SAF book-and-claim debates, where calculator choice and SAF attribution methodology remain unstandardized. Provides reproducible evidence for improving disclosure consistency across TCFD/ISSB-aligned reporters.

📄 Abstract(原文)

This record contains everything needed to check and reproduce the results of the article  Reconciling Aviation GHG Calculators for SAF-Aware Scope 3 Reporting: Evidence from Real Flights with Flight-Level and Carrier-Year SAF Attribution (manuscript TRIP-D-26-01020, submitted to Transportation Research Interdisciplinary Perspectives ): the Supplementary Material, the curated workbook (Supplementary Data S1) and the analysis code (Code S1). The study covers twelve commercial flights operated with documented sustainable aviation fuel (SAF). It reconciles the well-to-wake emissions reported for these flights by five calculator configurations: the Travel Impact Model; the ICAO Carbon Emissions Calculator; the UK DESNZ/DEFRA conversion factors with a radiative forcing index; the same DEFRA factors without it; and ATP-DEC. Contents of research_data.zip Supplementary_Material.pdf : Supplementary Material of the article (Sections S1–S14, Tables S1–S10 and Figures S1–S9). Supplementary_Data_S1.xlsx : curated workbook with the flight-level inputs, calculator outputs, ATP-DEC component results, life-cycle factors with provenance, evidence tiers and all derived results. Its README sheet documents every sheet and column. Code_S1/ : Python scripts that regenerate every number, table and figure of the article and the Supplementary Material from the workbook. Code_S1/README.md describes each script; the scripts were tested with Python 3.13. README.md : overview and instructions for reproducing the results. Data sources. The operational values for the twelve flights (fuel burn and load factor) are derived from Cirium data and are published with permission. The calculator outputs come from the public ICAO Carbon Emissions Calculator, the published DESNZ/DEFRA greenhouse gas conversion factors, the Travel Impact Model (retrieved through the SQUAKE API) and ATP-DEC. Please cite the article together with this record.
