This chapter explores the transformative merging of aartificial intelligence (AI) and renewable energy in the quest for a sustainable and resilient global energy ecosystem. With rising concerns over climate change and fossil fuel depletion, the integration of AI in green energy systems emerges as a strategic imperative. This chapter outline the current renewable energy landscape in India and globally and had tried to detail the roles of solar, wind, hydro, biomass, and geothermal energy. The authors also have tried to investigate the AI applications in predictive analytics, energy forecasting, smart grid management, consumption optimization, and decentralized micro grid systems. By enhancing efficiency, reducing costs, and enabling real-time decision-making, AI technologies are redefining energy production, distribution, and consumption. The opportunities discussed include technological innovation, economic growth, global collaboration, and community empowerment. However, the chapter also acknowledges challenges such as high initial costs, data privacy concerns, regulatory gaps, and the need for skilled personnel.
