本論文は、EUの炭素国境調整メカニズム（CBAM）と変動性再生可能エネルギーの統合が、化石燃料ベースのエネルギーシステムに与える影響を分析する。CBAMがEU域内の炭素価格と国際競争力に及ぼす効果、および再エネ導入による系統運用の変化を定量的に評価する。結果は、CBAMが炭素リーケージを抑制しつつ、再エネ比率向上が化石燃料発電の稼働率を低下させることを示す。

This paper analyzes the impact of the EU Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) and variable renewable energy integration on fossil-based energy systems. It quantitatively evaluates CBAM's effects on carbon prices and international competitiveness, as well as changes in grid operation due to renewable energy penetration. Results show that CBAM curbs carbon leakage while higher renewable shares reduce the utilization of fossil fuel power plants.
