This paper quantifies the health co-benefits (reduced air pollution, fewer premature deaths) from large-scale wind and solar deployment in China. Using a modeling approach, it shows that renewable energy expansion not only reduces carbon emissions but also significantly improves public health, underscoring the importance of incorporating health impacts into low-carbon transition policies.
