📄 Abstract(原文)

Rising geopolitical conflicts between Iran and the US have had a far-reaching impact on world energy markets on green energy and the policies dealing with renewables. Interruptions in the supply of oil changes in the price of crude oil and the increasing alarm about energy security have all driven the worldwide enthusiasm for the implementation of renewable energy. The research seeks to empirically investigate the connections among geopolitical conflict, energy security issues, switch to renewable energy and environmental sustainability. The study explores in what way the U.S.–Iran conflict has influenced the general opinion of the public the support of the government policy of the investments and the consumption of renewable energy technologies. The research employs the quantitative methodology with structured questionnaires administered to 350 energy consumers, academicians, environmental specialists and industrialists. Correlation analysis, Multiple regression, Confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) and Structural equation modelling (SEM) are applied through the SPSS and SmartPLS software. It is likely that the results will show that geopolitical turbulence is good for people’s knowledge of renewable energy and the shift to clean energy because people worry more about fossil-fuel reliance and environmental danger. Moreover, policy intervention by the government and public environmental consciousness are expected to serve as mediators in the link between energy security and the acceptance of renewable energy. The study advances our knowledge on how to transition to sustainable energy taking into account the political and environmental risks and the results will be of value to policy makers energy planners and environmentalists when they are looking at ways to secure a long-term sustainable energy supply and or develop in a sustainable way.
