English
This brief outlines key stages for embedding Gender Equity, Disability, and Social Inclusion (GEDSI) in modern energy cooking transitions: identifying inequalities, integrating into policy and practice, monitoring progress, and measuring impacts. It emphasizes the need for all stages to be present for inclusion to move from commitment to practice, especially under tight funding and uneven political support.

📝 gxceed 編集解説 — Why this matters
In the global GX context
This brief addresses the social dimension of the global clean cooking transition, aligning with just transition principles increasingly recognized by international frameworks like the Paris Agreement and SDGs. It offers practical steps for policymakers and practitioners to ensure equity and inclusion are not overlooked in energy transition efforts.
Researchers can use the GEDSI framework to evaluate inclusion in energy transition projects and inform future study designs.
Practitioners in clean cooking programs can apply the four-stage approach to integrate gender and social inclusion into project implementation and monitoring.

📄 Abstract(原文)
This brief focuses on the key stages required to embed Gender Equity, Disability, and Social Inclusion (GEDSI) in modern energy cooking transitions: (i) identifying inequalities by conducting GEDSI analysis, (ii) integrating GEDSI into policy and practice, (iii) monitoring progress, and (iv) measuring impacts. Drawing on insights from recent workshops, expert discussions, and wider research, it examines why these stages must all be present if inclusion is to move from commitment to practice, particularly in a context of tighter funding and uneven political support. Aimed at policymakers, donors, practitioners, and energy stakeholders, the brief highlights how to keep equity, social inclusion, participation, and accountability central to just transitions in modern energy cooking.© the author
