Develops an AI framework that classifies claims in corporate ESG disclosures using a 12-frame taxonomy across epistemic, agency, valence and legitimacy families. A document-to-dashboard workflow extracts claim-level frames, semantic triples, materiality links and evidence, aggregated across four professional perspectives. Demonstrated on reports from Shell, DWS, Nestlé, Deutsche Bank, Société Générale and BNP Paribas, it surfaces commitment-achievement gaps and positivity skew to support SFDR PAI, CSRD and sustainability-linked finance analysis, without verifying actual ESG performance.

📝 gxceed 編集解説 — Why this matters
In the global GX context
Amid CSRD, SFDR and ISSB adoption, this work offers a transparent, AI-based method to assess narrative quality and greenwashing risk in disclosures, complementing quantitative ESG ratings. It advances disclosure-infrastructure scholarship by linking frame analysis to regulatory PAI and transition-finance use cases.

📄 Abstract(原文)
This study develops and demonstrates an AI-driven framework for analysing the narrative construction of corporate environmental, social, and governance (ESG) disclosures. Unlike tools centred on quantitative indicators and ratings, it classifies claims using a 12-frame taxonomy spanning epistemic, agency, valence and legitimacy families. A document-to-dashboard workflow converts report text into claim-level frame assignments, semantic triples, materiality links, and evidence records, which are then aggregated across four professional perspectives. The prototype is demonstrated with reports from Shell plc, DWS Group GmbH & Co. KGaA, Nestlé S.A., Deutsche Bank AG, Société Générale and BNP Paribas SA. The cases show how the commitmentachievement ratio, positivity skew and disclosure credibility can support Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR) including Principal Adverse Impact (PAI) indicators, Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and sustainability-linked finance analysis. Results suggest that frame analysis can surface promise-delivery gaps and selective narrative emphasis without verifying underlying ESG performance. The study contributes a transparent design framework and identifies validation, robustness and governance requirements for deployment.
