📝 gxceed 編集解説 — Why this matters
In the global GX context
Globally, this aligns with ISSB/CSRD-driven demand for asset-level emissions data and TCFD transition planning in real estate. It advances automated, scalable embodied-carbon accounting—an area where disclosure frameworks increasingly require granular, verifiable building data.

📄 Abstract(原文)
The construction industry remains a leading contributor to global greenhouse gas emissions, with embodied carbon representing a substantial portion of this footprint. This study presents EcoSphere, an innovative, standalone software designed to automate sustainable urban development through a building-level carbon assessment and mitigation strategy analysis. EcoSphere offers an unparalleled level of automation by integrating National Structure Inventory data, advanced computer vision techniques, and large language models applied to Google Street View and satellite imagery. This combination allows for the development of a detailed, building-specific dataset categorized into archetypes to create a comprehensive baseline emissions dataset. Unlike traditional tools, EcoSphere streamlines the complex process of evaluating embodied and operational carbon emissions, construction costs, and policy scenarios into a user-friendly interface accessible to both researchers and policymakers. Its robust simulation capabilities allow users to compare various mitigation strategies, including renovation, replacement, and demolition scenarios, under different policy frameworks. A case study in New York demonstrated the software’s effectiveness in reducing carbon emissions and construction costs, empowering stakeholders to make data-driven decisions aligned with their carbon neutrality goals. By simplifying intricate data analysis into actionable insights, EcoSphere offers a scalable, fully automated tool for accelerating progress toward sustainable urban development.
