Since the 2020 Abraham Accords, renewable energy cooperation has been promoted as a symbol of a new era of regional partnership between Israel and the United Arab Emirates. Building on scholarship on additive energy transitions and eco-normalisation, this article examines how energy normalisation has unfolded across the broader political economy of regional energy systems. Focusing on the UAE–Israel partnership, it traces how renewable diplomacy, sovereign investment and gas infrastructures intersect with existing energy corridors linking Israel to Jordan and Egypt. Drawing on corporate filings, investment disclosures and energy contracts between 2020 and 2025, the article demonstrates that while the genocide in Gaza after October 2023 disrupted many public performances of renewable cooperation, the underlying architecture of regional energy integration remained largely intact. The analysis emphasises how normalisation is increasingly consolidated through the infrastructures, contracts and capital flows of regional energy markets.
