本報告書は、パリ協定に基づく南アフリカの第2回国別決定貢献（NDC）を支援する技術分析を提供する。SATIMGEモデリングフレームワークを用いて、様々な政策・経済シナリオ下での2035年までの温室効果ガス排出経路を評価している。結果は、電力部門の中心的役割、投資と気候資金の重要性、そして南アフリカの「公平なシェア」範囲内で野心的かつ衡平な緩和目標達成の可能性を示している。

This report provides a technical analysis to support South Africa’s Second NDC under the Paris Agreement. Using the SATIMGE modeling framework, it assesses GHG emissions pathways to 2035 across policy and economic scenarios. Results highlight the central role of the electricity sector, the importance of investment and climate finance, and the potential for an ambitious and equitable mitigation target within South Africa's fair share range.
