The review audits the compliance of the ESG-coding literature against emerging general-purpose reporting standards for LLM-assisted annotation (GUIDE-LLM; TRIPOD-LLM) and synthesizes ESG-specific extension items addressing validity threats these standards do not cover: visual impression management, ESG-framework construct mapping, adversarial constructs (greenwashing), and emerging-market disclosure contexts.
