📄 Abstract(原文)

As the power industry accelerates toward decarbonization, Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) are increasingly investigating green hydrogen as a viable fuel for large-scale gas turbines. In this context, the integration of wind energy with electrolysis for hydrogen production emerges as a promising pathway to achieve sustainable gas turbine based combined cycle power generation. This paper presents a comprehensive analysis of a wind– electrolysis–combined cycle power plant configuration, with plant outputs spanning from 150 MW to 900 MW. The study evaluates the performance impacts of hydrogen co-firing and substitution in combined cycle applications, emphasizing variations in wind turbine efficiency, electrolysis efficiency, and their cascading influence on overall plant efficiency, output, and cost. This study highlights the amplified opportunities and challenges in scaling green hydrogen integration. The analysis includes sensitivity studies on wind resource availability, electrolyzer performance, and fuel blending ratios, providing a holistic perspective on system-level trade-offs. A comparative evaluation of natural gas versus green hydrogen operation is also undertaken, with specific focus on combined cycle efficiency and levelized cost of electricity (LCOE). These insights aim to support OEMs, policymakers, and plant operators in making informed decisions regarding hydrogen readiness, operational flexibility, and investment strategies. Ultimately, this paper underscores the transformative potential of coupling renewable energy with combined cycle gas turbines through hydrogen integration—offering a scalable pathway toward cleaner, more resilient, and economically viable power generation for the future.
