English
This study decomposes high-resolution metering data from a PV-building system into consistent energy-flow components—self-consumption, surplus export, and grid import—and applies unsupervised clustering to identify recurring, physically interpretable operating regimes. By modeling operation as ordered regime sequences, it quantifies regime persistence and transition asymmetry, revealing directional patterns from PV generation–demand interaction. The regime-based view captures behaviors invisible in aggregated indicators and offers a data-driven basis for energy-management strategy.

📝 gxceed 編集解説 — Why this matters
In the global GX context
Globally, granular PV-building energy-flow analytics supports corporate renewable self-consumption strategies and demand-response readiness, which underpin Scope 2 accounting and RE100 claims. The regime-transition method adds operational evidence relevant to energy-management and grid-interaction discussions, though it does not directly address TCFD/ISSB disclosure requirements.

📄 Abstract(原文)
ABSTRACT Electricity generated from sunlight using installations equipped with photovoltaic (PV) panels is one of the most widely used forms of renewable energy. This paper presents a regime‐based framework for analyzing the operation of a PV‐building system by identifying characteristic energy‐flow regimes and their temporal transitions. High‐resolution measurement data are transformed into internally consistent energy‐flow components—self‐consumption, surplus export, and grid import—which jointly describe instantaneous energy allocation within the system. Unsupervised clustering applied in this multidimensional energy‐flow space reveals a finite set of physically interpretable operating regimes that recur systematically over daily and monthly time scales. By representing system operation as ordered sequences of regimes, the study quantifies regime persistence and transition asymmetry, revealing structured and directional transition patterns associated with the interaction between PV generation and building demand. The results show that this regime‐ and transition‐oriented perspective captures behavioral features of PV‐building systems that are not visible in aggregated energy indicators and provides a data‐driven basis for operational interpretation and for future studies on energy‐management strategies.
