📝 gxceed 編集解説 — Why this matters

In the global GX context

Globally, the construction sector's embodied carbon is under increasing scrutiny from frameworks like ISSB and the EU's Level(s). This review synthesizes barriers that companies face in adopting low-carbon materials, offering a systemic view relevant to transition finance and supply chain decarbonization.

📄 Abstract(原文)

Abstract Construction is a key component of an economy's expansion and development, unfortunately, construction activities pose an environmental hazard through rising emissions, irresponsible use of natural resources and destruction of ecosystems and landforms. At present, the construction sector is responsible for an estimated 39 percent of all energy - related carbon dioxide emissions worldwide. Environmentalists claim that one of the leading remedies to these problems is the use of sustainable building materials. The purpose of the current review paper is a critical assessment of the sustainability - related barriers to the widespread use of sustainable building materials and the identification of the primary factors limiting adoption. Based on a thorough review of research published between 2022 and 2025, this paper includes scientific literature reviews, reports, journal papers, technical reports in the peer - reviewed journals, with results presented, collated, synthesized and analyzed. Keywords: Green materials, Low cardon materials, Sustainable construction, Construction challenges, Lifecycle assessment, Circular economy, Embodied carbon, Artificial intelligence and Bio-based materials.
