📝 gxceed 編集解説 — Why this matters

In the global GX context

India's energy transition is a critical case for global decarbonization, given its large population and emissions. The paper provides insights into balancing economic growth with renewable deployment, relevant for international climate policy and investment strategies.

📄 Abstract(原文)

India's energy transition reflects a delicate balance between rapid economic expansion, increasing energy consumption, and the need for a cleaner environment. Even though coal still occupies a dominant position in the overall national energy portfolio, renewables, led by solar and wind, have made significant inroads as costs have dropped and policy support, along with technological advances, has strengthened. But that vast renewable potential has so far gone largely unused, slowing the path to decarbonization. The country's dual identity as both a leading coal consumer and a rapidly emerging renewable power highlights the complexity of its energy transition. It also calls for accelerating the deployment of renewables, expanding the grid infrastructure, and investing in green finance. As India proceeds along this trajectory, its decisions will not just shape domestic energy security but also have a large bearing on the success of global climate and sustainable development goals.
