English

This article examines green hydrogen's role in the industrial energy transition, noting electrification's limits in energy-intensive sectors and heavy transport. It frames green hydrogen as a complementary solution serving as storage, fuel, industrial feedstock, and transport fuel. The authors argue it supports Industry 4.0 via digital integration and aligns with Industry 5.0 through sustainability and energy resilience, illustrated by a hydrogen flow model linking energy, production, and logistics.

📝 gxceed 編集解説 — Why this matters

In the global GX context

Green hydrogen is central to global transition finance and industrial decarbonization debates, and this paper's Industry 4.0/5.0 framing offers a conceptual bridge between digitalization and sustainability agendas relevant to EU industrial policy. However, it is largely conceptual and adds limited empirical evidence to ISSB/TCFD-aligned disclosure or transition-planning scholarship.

📄 Abstract(原文)

The article examines the role of green hydrogen in the industrial energy transition amid increasing environmental and energy demands. It highlights the limitations of electrification in energy-intensive sectors and heavy transport and presents green hydrogen as a complementary solution to the emerging energy gap. Its functions as energy storage, fuel, industrial feedstock, and transport fuel are discussed. The study shows that green hydrogen supports Industry 4.0 through digital integration and aligns with Industry 5.0 by enhancing sustainability and energy resilience. The proposed hydrogen flow model illustrates its role in integrating energy, production, and logistics systems.
