English
This poster estimates Brazil's green hydrogen potential from 2024 onshore wind output, offshore projects under environmental licensing, and untapped onshore resources across six states. Using 50 kWh/kg H2 and allocation scenarios of 2–100%, it reports ~41,000 t/yr onshore and ~433,000 t/yr offshore at 2% allocation. Offshore figures are conditional on deployment; overlapping restricted areas and sparse high-altitude wind data are noted limitations.

📝 gxceed 編集解説 — Why this matters
In the global GX context
Adds a country-level supply-potential datapoint to the global green hydrogen and Power-to-X literature, relevant to importers and transition-finance discussions on emerging-market hydrogen. Methodologically it is a simplified, non-reproducible estimate rather than a disclosure or accounting contribution.
Provides a transparent, if simplified, allocation-scenario approach to wind-to-hydrogen potential that can be compared with other national estimates.
Useful as a rough order-of-magnitude reference for hydrogen sourcing or offtake discussions in Brazil, not for investment-grade planning.
Illustrates how offshore licensing status and spatial restrictions materially constrain hydrogen supply estimates in emerging markets.
📄 Abstract(原文)
Conference poster for paper CIT26-0463, accepted for the 21st Brazilian Congress of Thermal Sciences and Engineering (ENCIT 2026), Santos, Brazil, November 8–12, 2026. The study estimates green hydrogen production potential from consolidated onshore wind generation in 2024, offshore projects undergoing environmental licensing, and unexploited onshore wind resources in six Brazilian states. It adopts a specific electricity consumption of 50 kWh/kg H2 and electricity allocation scenarios of 100%, 20%, 10%, 5% and 2%. At 2% allocation, the article reports approximately 41,000 t/year from onshore generation and 433,000 t/year from the offshore portfolio. Offshore estimates are conditional on project deployment. The article identifies overlapping restricted areas and limited wind data at higher altitudes as methodological limitations. The supporting figures are simplified vector visualisations of explicitly published numerical values. No original monthly electricity datasets, GIS layers or original calculation scripts are included.
