A global spatiotemporal analysis of marine renewable energy (MRE) deployments from the late 1970s to today, using the PRIMRE Projects Database of over 400 open-water installations. It maps how and where MRE technologies are actually deployed across regions and device types, filling a gap in real-world deployment evidence for coastal communities and offshore infrastructure like aquaculture and ocean observation.
