Against the backdrop of global energy transition and the dual-carbon strategy, the oil and gas industry is confronted with an urgent demand for low-carbon transformation and intelligent upgrading. This paper reviews the research progress and application status of AI-enabled low-carbon technologies in the oil and gas industry. It elaborates core demands of low-carbon transformation, details applications in key industrial links, compares typical AI methods, summarizes key challenges, and prospects future development trends. This paper provides a useful reference for researchers and engineers engaged in the low-carbon and intelligent development of the oil and gas industry.
