📄 Abstract（原文）
In rural areas of the former West Germany, it was found that conservative ideals such as “Wertkonservative” are compatible with support for renewable energy. Environmental protection themes, including renewable energy, tend to be considered “progressive.” However, some renewable energy projects in Germany are an example of social restructuring based on conservative ideals. It is thought that the findings gained from this research in Germany can contribute to Japan’s renewable energy policy. If there is an affinity between conservative ideals and renewable energy in Japan, it may be possible to leverage this affinity to increase the renewable energy share. The aim of this paper is to examine the possibility of social restructuring in Japan based on the findings discovered in Germany and the use of a questionnaire survey of Tokyo residents.
