📄 Abstract(原文)
This systematic review examines the range of climate change mitigation strategies implemented in Nigeria, assessing their effectiveness and identifying key challenges and opportunities. Drawing on diverse studies and reports across sectors such as energy, agriculture, forestry, waste management, and transportation, the review reveals that Nigeria has made significant strides in promoting renewable energy, enhancing energy efficiency, and restoring degraded ecosystems. However, progress is hindered by institutional fragmentation, limited financial resources, technological barriers, and low public awareness. The review underscores the critical need for strengthened governance, sustainable climate finance, improved data monitoring, and inclusive stakeholder engagement to scale up mitigation actions. Aligning climate initiatives with national development goals emerges as essential for sustainable impact. Overall, the findings highlight Nigeria’s potential to advance its climate change mitigation agenda, provided that coordinated and well-resourced policies are implemented. This study offers valuable insights for policymakers, researchers, and development partners committed to supporting Nigeria’s low-carbon and resilient development pathway.
