📄 Abstract（原文）

This replication dataset accompanies the manuscript “Matching Carbon Pricing to Development: Emissions Trading, Carbon Taxes, and Industrial Process Decarbonization.” The dataset contains an unbalanced panel of 190 economies covering the period 1990–2024. The main outcome variable is industrial process CO₂ emissions per capita. The key policy variables identify the implementation of emissions trading systems (ETS) and carbon taxes. The dataset also includes variables capturing electricity access, fossil-energy consumption, gross fixed capital formation, GDP per capita, and treatment timing for the dynamic treatment-effect analysis. The replication files are provided to facilitate transparency and reproducibility of the empirical analysis. The accompanying code reproduces the main analyses reported in the manuscript, including baseline fixed-effects estimates, nonlinear development–emissions specifications, joint ETS and carbon-tax models, placebo tests, development-stage heterogeneity analyses, and group-time average treatment effects (ATTGT).
