English
This systematic review examines how climate change affects soil health and carbon sequestration. Rising temperatures and altered precipitation degrade soil properties and reduce carbon storage capacity. However, agricultural practices like conservation tillage, cover cropping, crop rotation, and biochar can enhance soil carbon sequestration. The paper emphasizes policies for sustainable land management and soil organic carbon restoration as crucial for climate mitigation and food security.

In the global GX context
Globally, soil carbon sequestration is recognized as a nature-based solution for climate mitigation, with initiatives like the EU's 4 per 1000 and the UNCCD's land degradation neutrality. This review synthesizes evidence on agricultural practices that can enhance soil carbon, informing corporate sustainability strategies and climate policy frameworks such as ISSB and CSRD reporting on land-use impacts.

📄 Abstract(原文)
Climate change, driven by rising global temperatures and shifting precipitation patterns, has profound implications for soil health and carbon sequestration. Soils, which act as a critical carbon sink, are increasingly being disrupted by extreme weather events, changing temperatures, and altered hydrological cycles. These disruptions negatively affect soil properties, including physical structure, fertility, and microbial activity, while also hindering the soil’s ability to sequester carbon. The rapid decomposition of soil organic matter due to increased temperatures, as well as soil erosion and degradation, exacerbate this issue. While soil has the potential to store large amounts of carbon, land use changes such as deforestation, intensive farming, and unsustainable agricultural practices are undermining this capacity. However, agricultural mitigation practices like conservation tillage, cover cropping, crop rotation, and the use of biochar offer promising solutions to enhance soil health and carbon sequestration. Policies focused on sustainable land management, restoration of soil organic carbon (SOC), and adaptive agricultural practices are crucial for mitigating climate change and ensuring long-term food security. Efforts to restore soil health, optimize carbon storage, and improve agricultural resilience will not only support global climate change (GCC) mitigation but also contribute to enhanced ecosystem resilience and socio-economic stability. Key words: Climate change, soil health, carbon sequestration, soil organic carbon, agricultural practices, conservation tillage, soil restoration.
