Renewable Energy Communities (RECs) have been predominantly analysed through technological, economic, and regulatory lenses, with limited attention to the experiential dimensions of member engagement. This paper introduces the REC Journey framework, a transdisciplinary model that integrates community lifecycle stages with individual developmental trajectories. Drawing on empirical work conducted within the EU-funded MASTERPIECE project across five European countries, the study combines participatory design, behavioural modelling, longitudinal intervention for intentional impact. Findings demonstrate the contextual relevance of lifecycle and readiness structures, the effectiveness of personalised communication, and variation in incentive responses. The RECOMME engine operationalises these insights, underscoring the role of behaviourally and culturally informed approaches in advancing community energy transitions.
