This dataset contains all replication materials for a study examining the heterogeneous effects of China's carbon emissions trading pilot (CETP) on urban green innovation. It includes Stata .do files for the full empirical workflow: data cleaning, staggered difference-in-differences estimation, heterogeneity analysis, twelve robustness checks (placebo permutations, parallel-trend diagnostics, propensity score matching, alternative covariate strategies), and mechanism tests. The archive provides raw and processed city-level panel data (2000–2023) on green patent applications (from CNIPA and WIPO IPC Green Inventory), CETP pilot city designations, economic and environmental covariates, and firm-level environmental penalties and subsidies. All figures and tables generated from the Stata output are included in .eps, .png, and .xlsx formats, along with a supplementary appendix. Users can reproduce all results by running the master do-file after setting the working directory to the root folder.
