📝 gxceed 編集解説 — Why this matters
In the global GX context
Globally, blue carbon ecosystems are increasingly recognized for their climate mitigation and adaptation potential, aligning with TNFD and climate disclosure frameworks. This study maps the technological landscape (AI, remote sensing, ML) for monitoring these ecosystems, offering insights for enhancing transparency and effectiveness in nature-based climate solutions.

📄 Abstract(原文)
This bibliometric study analyzed the global development of intelligent technologies for blue carbon ecosystem monitoring and management by examining research growth, scientific impact, collaboration patterns, conceptual structures, and emerging research directions. A total of 7,054 Scopus-indexed publications (1971–2026) were retrieved from the Scopus database and analyzed using Bibliometrix (RStudio) and VOSviewer. The findings revealed sustained growth in scientific production, particularly after 2010. Remote Sensing emerged as the leading publication source, while Universitas Gadjah Mada and East China Normal University were the most productive affiliations. The United States and China dominated publication output and citation impact, supported by collaboration among 57 countries. Science mapping identified six major keyword clusters centered on remote sensing, mangroves, blue carbon, geographic information systems, machine learning, LiDAR, and ecosystem monitoring. Thematic evolution indicated a shift toward artificial intelligence, deep learning, and data-driven approaches, providing a valuable reference for future blue carbon research and sustainable coastal ecosystem management.
