📄 Abstract(原文)

Re-evaluation of power system architecture is necessary for the rapid transformation of electric power. This challenge is addressed by the Future Power System Architecture (FPSA) program, which is a result of collaborative efforts from Energy Systems Catapult and the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET). This research examines the underlying design and structure of the electricity system, considering component interactions and stakeholder organization. FPSA identifies key drivers of change, required power system functionalities, and barriers to progress. It develops strategies for timely, cost-effective, and agile delivery, fostering a dynamic environment for the GB power system architecture. This study presents a holistic, whole-system perspective, integrating smart grid technologies and advanced power system design. Stakeholders, policymakers, and industry professionals are provided with valuable insights from the findings, resulting in the development of a flexible, resilient, and low-carbon electricity system. By embracing this transformative approach, the UK can navigate the accelerating energy transition toward a sustainable, efficient, and reliable power system.
