📄 Abstract(原文)
Achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs) is a priority for governments around the world. By guaranteeing a high quality of life (QoL) and transitioning toward cleaner energy, governments can possibly attain UNSDG 7 and UNSDG 3. Recently, artificial intelligence (AI) has appeared as a potential enabler for improving the environment and society; however, little is known about its contribution to enhancing the energy transition and QoL. Further, the roles of digitalization, green finance, and regulatory quality in fostering QoL and energy transition need further exploration. The present study aims to fill these gaps in the literature; it adopts the complexity theory approach on data from 54 countries for the year 2022. Findings show two models leading to high QoL; both include high AI government readiness, high digitalization, and high regulatory quality, while high green finance is present in one model. Further, results indicate that some countries can achieve a high QoL by relying on AI readiness alone. Regarding high energy transition, three combinations lead to this outcome; they include high GDP per capita, high digitalization, high AI government readiness, and high regulatory quality. High green finance appears in two models and is essential for driving energy transition.
