English
Presents a modular Flare-to-Fuels platform converting routine flare gas into transportable products (NGL, CNG, LNG, methanol, synthetic fuels) via skid-based process design. Integrates feed conditioning, brownfield tie-ins, syngas generation, methanol synthesis, and lifecycle carbon-intensity accounting with MRV-ready data systems. Positions flare gas as a transition-molecule value chain rather than an environmental liability, improving asset economics and emissions performance.

📄 Abstract(原文)
Abstract Routine flaring and venting of associated gas remain persistent operational, environmental, and value-loss challenges across upstream and midstream assets, particularly where gathering infrastructure, gas treatment capacity, or offtake markets are constrained. Methane-rich flare streams are especially important because real flare performance can be affected by intermittent flow, sub-stoichiometric combustion, flame instability, and operational upsets. These factors can increase methane slip and near-term climate impact. The World Bank's Global Gas Flaring Tracker and Zero Routine Flaring initiative reinforce this urgency by showing that routine flaring remains a global resource-efficiency and emissions challenge despite long-standing reduction commitments. This paper presents an engineered modular Flare-to-Fuels platform, with emphasis on Flare-to-Liquids, for upgrading variable off-gas into fungible, transportable products. The portfolio includes NGL recovery, CNG, LNG, methanol, synthetic fuels, and liquid fuel blendstocks that can use existing storage, transport, blending, or end-use infrastructure where specifications allow. The objective is to reduce routine flaring and methane slip while converting a waste stream into saleable products that improve asset economics, local energy security, and portfolio-level emissions performance. The solution focus is deployable process design rather than a theoretical single-route concept. The manuscript describes feed conditioning, brownfield tie- ins, operability under variable feeds, skid-based modularization, syngas generation, methanol synthesis, optional downstream upgrading, and quantified emissions outcomes through transparent lifecycle carbon-intensity accounting. The proposed screening framework links field conditions to monetization pathways and defines how technology configuration, operating envelope, lifecycle assessment, monitoring, reporting and verification, and policy-relevant design choices can be considered together. When modular process equipment, auditable carbon boundaries, and certification-ready data systems are integrated early, flare gas can be repositioned from an environmental liability into a transition-molecule value chain.
