This paper presents an information system for wind power generation modelling and a methodology to verify its computational algorithms using heterogeneous open meteorological data and SCADA measurements. The framework combines statistical metrics, correlation analysis, empirical power-curve comparison, and error distribution assessment to separate algorithmic errors from input-data uncertainty. Validation on Penmanshiel Wind Farm SCADA data achieved r=0.968 against theoretical calculations, while NASA POWER-based simulations showed lower accuracy (RMSE=432.1 kW), indicating that model performance is primarily constrained by meteorological input quality rather than software implementation.

📄 Abstract(原文)
Reliable software verification is a prerequisite for developing information systems intended for renewable energy modelling. This paper presents an information system for modelling wind power generation together with a methodology for verifying its computational algorithms using heterogeneous data from open meteorological sources and operational SCADA measurements. The system integrates NASA POWER meteorological data, wind turbine technical characteristics, and SCADA operational records to calculate theoretical power generation based on the turbine power curve. The proposed verification framework combines statistical performance metrics, correlation analysis, empirical power-curve comparison, time-series analysis, and error distribution assessment to distinguish algorithmic errors from uncertainties caused by meteorological input data. Experimental verification was performed using publicly available SCADA data from the Penmanshiel Wind Farm equipped with Senvion MM82 wind turbines. The results confirm the correctness of the implemented calculation algorithms, achieving a correlation coefficient of r = 0.968 when validated against theoretical SCADA-based calculations. At the same time, simulations using NASA POWER meteorological data exhibited substantially lower accuracy (RMSE = 432.1 kW), demonstrating that modelling performance is primarily constrained by the quality of meteorological input rather than by the software implementation itself. The proposed verification methodology improves the reliability assessment of renewable energy information systems and can be applied to the validation of software tools that integrate heterogeneous environmental and operational datasets.
