English

A technical white paper using ERCOT interconnection practice as a proxy for emerging energy communities. It frames grid-impact limits of high-penetration residential BESS and bidirectional V2G, flags socio-technical and operational challenges from uncoordinated deployment, and proposes a simulation methodology to evaluate distribution feeder hosting capacity.

📝 gxceed 編集解説 — Why this matters

In the global GX context

Hosting-capacity assessment for distributed storage and V2G connects directly to global grid-integration and flexibility debates under rising renewables and EV adoption. It offers a transferable framework for interconnection and distribution-planning scholarship beyond ERCOT.

📄 Abstract(原文)

As the energy transition accelerates, high-penetration residential Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and bidirectional Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) capabilities promise enhanced local resilience and flexibility. However, their uncoordinated deployment presents significant socio-technical and operational challenges for distribution-grid networks. Grounded in interconnection practice from the ERCOT region—used as a proxy for emerging energy communities—this technical white paper presents a conceptual framework to characterize grid-impact limits and proposes a quantitative simulation methodology to evaluate distribution feeder hosting capacity.
