📄 Abstract(原文)

Almost all energy management initiatives today are directly or indirectly motivated or funded by policies and programs aimed to address climate change. As such, a basic understanding of climate change is critical. The main objective for this chapter is to provide basic methods and strategies to quantify and reduce operational greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from facilities. Practitioners often need to be able to estimate or measure GHG emissions and develop retrofit measures or new facility designs to reduce GHGs if not completely “decarbonize” the facility. These are the key skills, knowledge, and competencies that demand-side energy management professionals need to be effective.
