📄 Abstract(原文)

Solar energy holds as one of the utmost emerging solutions to the global energy requirement toward sustainable development, providing a clean, ample, and renewable option against conventional fossil fuels. As nations strive to satisfy their energy needs and minimize eco-friendly eminence, solar power stands out as a principal contender. The introduction to solar energy and sustainability explains the basics of the technologies and systemic benefits related to harnessing solar radiation for electricity and thermal use. In principle, solar energy is captured or converted through two main systems: photovoltaic (PV) and solar thermal. For either of these technologies, developments have greatly impacted their conversion efficiency, cost, and adaptability. The solar energy concept within the sustainable development outline, such as the United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), has great importance because it impacts clean energy access (SDG 7), responsible consumption and production (SDG 12), and climate action (SDG 13). Solar energy systems minimize greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, confront energy scarcity, and uphold energy independence. However, challenges remain: intermittency, land use, and life cycle impacts related to materials and manufacturing. The significance of solar energy in creating resilient and sustainable energy systems for the world of the twenty-first century and beyond plays a foremost role. The present chapter highlights how solar sustainability is an interdisciplinary issue requiring collaboration between scientists, engineers, policymakers, and socioeconomists. Hence, promotion of solar energy is not only a technological development but also an indispensable pathway toward an environmentally stabilized future in which the implementation of solar resources is considered along with sustainable planning, innovation, and policy support.
