📄 Abstract(原文)
Given the urgency posed by the climate crisis, the drive towards energy transition and the potential of solar photovoltaic energy, there has been limited adoption of this technology by architects and urban planners, particularly of BIPV (Building-Integrated Photovoltaics) modules, highlighting a disconnect between design practices and available innovations. The aim is to investigate the reasons for the low adoption of photovoltaic technology by professionals in the São Paulo Metropolitan Region, analysing the potential of BIPV and other factors and constraints that may influence this low adoption. To this end, a literature review, documentary research, and a quantitative-qualitative study were conducted, involving an online questionnaire administered to 124 architects and urban planners, as well as interviews with experts. It is noted that a lack of knowledge, particularly regarding BIPV solutions, is the main factor explaining the low adoption rate, followed by the cost of implementation and the negative aesthetic impact of such solutions, which, although relevant, does not influence the choices of architects and urban planners. It is therefore concluded that this research fills a gap in the debate on the role of these professionals in the energy transition, promoting the dissemination and integration of photovoltaic energy in Brazilian architecture.
