📄 Abstract（原文）
This chapter examines how well prepared the countries are to respond to putting in place measures for the energy transition. It examines the role played at regional levels through the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), which is the umbrella body that connects a good number of countries within the Middle East. The selected countries examined include Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Iran, Iraq, Kuwait and Qatar. It examines the state of the legal frameworks and the extent to which they are in tune with the energy transition. It discusses the specific measures put in place to respond to the energy transition in line with their international commitments and efforts shown in their nationally determined contributions and other legal measures in place.
