English

This paper proposes an optimal scheduling strategy for a Port Integrated Energy System coupling electricity, cooling, heat, gas, and hydrogen with CCHP, P2G, and storage. A ladder-type carbon trading mechanism progressively penalizes emissions within a total-cost minimization model. Simulations show it boosts wind/solar consumption, cuts reliance on external power and natural gas, and activates hydrogen regulation potential, lowering both emissions and operating costs.

In the global GX context

Port decarbonization is a growing frontier in global transition finance and industrial decarbonization, and the ladder-type carbon pricing design offers a concrete mechanism linking carbon cost internalization to multi-energy optimization. It adds empirical modeling evidence relevant to carbon pricing and hydrogen integration debates under ISSB-era transition planning.

📄 Abstract(原文)

To promote the low-carbon transition of port energy systems, this paper proposes an optimal scheduling strategy for a Port Integrated Energy System (PIES). A multi-energy coupling framework encompassing electricity, cooling, heat, gas, and hydrogen is constructed, integrating Combined Cooling, Heating and Power (CCHP), Power-to-Gas (P2G), and energy storage technologies. Crucially, a ladder-type carbon trading mechanism is introduced to penalize excessive carbon emissions progressively. An optimization model aiming to minimize the total operational cost is established based on system energy balance constraints. Simulation results demonstrate that compared to traditional mechanisms, the proposed ladder-type carbon cost effectively enhances the consumption of renewable wind and solar power while reducing reliance on external electricity and natural gas. Notably, the mechanism significantly stimulates the regulation potential of hydrogen energy systems. Consequently, the proposed approach simultaneously lowers carbon emissions and total operational costs, providing a viable technical pathway for the efficient and green operation of modern ports.
