This paper analyzes the impacts of the EU Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) on key South Korean industries (steel, cement, aluminum, etc.), highlighting challenges such as reduced export competitiveness and increased carbon costs. It proposes policy recommendations for the Korean government and firms, including adjusting domestic carbon pricing, promoting green technology investment, and strengthening international cooperation. Offers insights for Japan's CBAM preparedness.
