This study proposes a multi-scenario carbon emission flow analysis model based on energy-carbon co-optimization for low-carbon power system operation. It incorporates a dynamic carbon-price feedback mechanism and evaluates three scenarios: green power priority, carbon trading, and demand response. Simulation results show that the carbon-price feedback reduces emissions by approximately 52-59% compared to the baseline, while demand response enhances flexibility and low-carbon coordination.

📄 Abstract(原文)
Response to China’s “dual carbon” strategy, developing a low-carbon, secure, and efficient power system has become a critical objective in the national energy transition. To address the limitations of existing carbon emission assessment methods—namely low spatiotemporal resolution, incomplete source–load coupling representation, and simplistic carbon-price response mechanisms—this study proposes a multi-scenario carbon emission flow modeling approach based on energy–carbon co-optimization. The proposed model minimizes total system operating cost by jointly optimizing power and carbon flows under energy–carbon balance constraints, integrating photovoltaic, wind, gas turbine, storage, and grid purchase units within a unified optimization framework. A dynamic carbon-price feedback mechanism is incorporated to capture the adaptive adjustment of market signals. Three representative operating scenarios—Green Power Priority, Carbon Trading, and Demand Response—are constructed to evaluate the system’s economic and environmental performance under different policy and market settings. Simulation results indicate that incorporating the carbon-price feedback mechanism reduces total emissions by approximately from 52% to 59% compared with the baseline scenario, while the demand-response mechanism further enhances flexibility and low-carbon coordination, achieving a balanced optimization between economy and sustainability. The proposed framework provides a quantitative and verifiable pathway for low-carbon operation of regional and park-level power systems, offering methodological insights for integrated energy–carbon dispatch and carbon market coupling strategies.
