The convergence of renewable energy technologies and artificial intelligence (AI) is redefining pathways toward sustainable and intelligent societies. This chapter highlights the urgency of renewable energy adoption in the context of climate change and digital transformation, tracing the parallel evolution of AI, automation, and clean energy from emerging concepts to global priorities. It outlines the foundations of intelligent, sustainable societies, including smart grids, data infrastructures, and digital governance models.
