The dataset comprises the list of 123 scientific articles reporting on the greenhouse gas-driven and albedo-modulated climate effects of sixteen common NCS in the AFOLU sector. Key results relevant to the management practice, climate zone, and climate effect were extracted and concisely recorded in an expanded results table. These key results were then synthesized and coded into the GHG-driven climate mitigation or albedo-modulated trade-off levels, ranging from “Consistently beneficial” to “Mostly detrimental” to “Uncertain” for GHG and “Synergistic” to “Antagonistic” to “More evidence needed” for albedo. After coding the results for each management practice-climate effect pairing in the table, the impact of omitting albedo from climate accounting was determined to be: - An overestimation of its climate mitigation benefits - An underestimation of its climate mitigation benefits - Uncertain - Unknown These are the data associated with the following article currenty under review: Cardinael, R., Atwood, L.
