📄 Abstract(原文)

The rise of climate governance has fueled interest in market-based instruments like carbon credits, while CSR has shifted toward strategic sustainability. However, research on integrating carbon credits into CSR within emerging markets like Vietnam remains limited. This study employs a qualitative exploratory design, using semi-structured interviews with experts and corporate representatives to examine this potential. The findings identify four primary drivers: anticipated environmental performance, regulatory influence, financial motivations, and leadership awareness. Results suggest that firms view carbon credits as tools for accountability and reputation rather than immediate profit. While regulatory clarity is a vital catalyst, knowledge gaps and technical complexities remain significant barriers, especially for SMEs. This research contributes to existing literature by showing how institutional uncertainty and reputational factors shape carbon strategies, offering practical insights for policymakers and businesses supporting Vietnam's sustainability transition.
