This paper examines the impact of green finance on carbon intensity in OECD economies, finding that industrial structure upgrading and green technology innovation serve as mediators. Results show that green finance reduces carbon intensity both directly and indirectly through these channels. The findings imply that policies promoting green finance should be complemented with support for industrial upgrading and technological innovation.
